PROCESS

In choosing your Artist you will work in groups and follow the following steps. Each group consist of 3 members.

  • When you discuss with the other museum members, you can use language structures as:
                             - I want to be...... (the biographer) because I'm good at...... .

                             - I think you could be the...... because you're good at....... .

                             - I think we can choose......  (Picasso) because...... .

                             - I consider we can use...

                             -  I agree /I don't agree with....  because.... .

    • If you need it you can use:

                       Photographic dictionary

    First Lesson:

    • Choose an artist from the list of artist provided below on this page . Inform the teacher of which artist your group will "visit" and gather information. No artist may be selected by two groups within one class. This means the first group to claim an artist as their subject and notify the teacher will have that artist.
    • There are three roles within the group. Decide which role each of you will perform. Consider your skills and who would be best doing the given task. Detailed instructions for each role are in the following link.
    • Work together to answer the questions on the Artist Biography Question sheet. Ask  your teacher for the sheet.

GO BACK TO LINKS PREVIOUSLY VISITED WHEN NECESSARY TO REMEMBER THE INFORMATION YOU NEED.

    Second Lesson:

    • Now you have your artist you have to do a replica of one of his/her artworks.
    • And then, you have to perform the display.
    • Remember to include all the elements required (see Task)
    • You can start practicing your oral presentation. You have to choose one person who will explain the steps you followed and then that, each group member will explain his or her task.

    Final Lesson:

    • The art gallery opening has arrived!
    • It's time to show your hard work to the other curators and the journalists!

GO BACK TO LANGUAGE STRUCTURES WHEN NECESSARY

    Enjoy your creations! :)
